Is this a Shopify store?
How it works
How do you check if a site is on Shopify?
-
Step 1
Paste the store's address
Any URL works: the homepage, a product page, or a link with tracking parameters. We keep only the host name.
-
Step 2
We check DNS, then the storefront
Shopify serves stores from its own network. If the DNS points there, the answer is yes. If not, we open the homepage and look for Shopify's fingerprints in the HTML, headers and cookies.
-
Step 3
Read the answer and the profile
You get yes, no, or could not reach. For a Shopify store you also get its StoreRadar profile, with contact details masked.
Everything you need to know
What the checker looks at, and what its answers mean.
How does the checker know a site runs on Shopify?
Two ways. First DNS: Shopify stores point their domain at Shopify's network, through a CNAME to shops.myshopify.com or an address in Shopify's IP block. If DNS does not settle it, we load the homepage and look for Shopify's fingerprints: its CDN, its cookies, its headers and the Shopify object in the page.
Why does it sometimes say it could not reach the site?
Some sites block automated visits with a bot challenge, and some are down. In both cases we cannot read the storefront, so we say so instead of guessing. A could-not-reach answer never means the site is not on Shopify.
Can a site be on Shopify and still get a No?
Rarely. A store that hides every Shopify fingerprint behind its own proxy can look like any other site. We only answer No after reading the homepage and finding none.
What is in the store profile?
For stores StoreRadar tracks, the result shows the store's full row from the StoreRadar CSV: 51 columns, from theme, apps and technologies to traffic signals, dates and contacts. Emails, phone numbers, social handles and the store's name are masked in the free preview. The $149 CSV has every column in clear, for every store we track.
Is it free?
Yes. Five checks a day without an account. A free account raises the limit.
Checking stores every day?
The Chrome extension shows the StoreRadar record of any store you visit, in a side panel.
