The Shopify store you are looking at, in a side panel
What you see
What does the panel show?
The same record the StoreRadar API returns for that domain. A free account sees the store profile in clear and the contacts masked. StoreRadar Annual unmasks the contacts.
Free account

- ○Emails and phone numbers starred out, social platforms named without handles, no named people
StoreRadar Annual adds
- ✓Email addresses in clear
- ✓Phone numbers in clear
- ✓Social profiles with their handles
- ✓Named people, when the record has them
The same plan unmasks the web app, the API and the MCP server. Compare every plan.
What if the store is not in the database?
The panel says "no record" and offers to check the site. One click starts a crawl and the panel shows the record when it lands, usually within minutes. On-demand checks share a daily limit; when it is reached the panel says so and names when to retry. The panel never claims a site is not a Shopify store: a missing record and a removed one look the same from the outside.
Install
How do I install it?
-
1. Create a free StoreRadar account
Open https://www.storeradar.io/sign-in, enter your email, and paste the six digit code we send back. No password, no card.
-
2. Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store
Chrome asks you to allow the tabs permission. The panel needs it to read the address of the tab you are on. It reads nothing else.
-
3. Open the side panel on any Shopify store
Click the StoreRadar icon in the toolbar and sign in. The panel looks up the store in the active tab and follows you as you change tabs.
Why does Chrome say "Read your browsing history"?
That is Chrome's wording for the tabs
permission. The panel uses it to read the address of the active tab, so it knows which
store to look up and can refresh when you switch tabs. It does not read your history,
does not read the page, and injects no script. Only the host name of the site you are
on is sent to StoreRadar.

Free to install, free to use
Create the account in your browser, then add the extension. The panel signs you in with one click and works on every Shopify store you visit.
StoreRadar is not affiliated with Shopify. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc.
Everything you need to know
The questions people ask before they click Add to Chrome.
Do I need an account?
Yes. The panel shows nothing before you sign in, because every lookup is an API call on your account and counts against your rate limit. The account is free and needs only an email address: you enter a six digit code we send you, no password.
What does the extension read from the pages I visit?
Only the address of the active tab, through Chrome's tabs permission. It reads no page content, injects no script, and never sees what you type. The host name of the site you are on is sent to StoreRadar to look up the record, and that request is logged like any other API request.
Does it work on stores that are not on Shopify?
The panel looks up any host. For a site that is not in the database it shows "no record" and offers to check it. If the check finds no Shopify storefront, the panel says the record is still missing. It never states that a site is not a Shopify store, because the API cannot tell a missing store from one that was removed.
What do I get free, and what does paying add?
A free account sees the whole store profile: scores, industry, country, languages, theme, apps, technologies, catalogue counts and dates. Contacts are masked: emails and phones starred, social platforms named without handles, no named people. StoreRadar Annual shows every field in clear, in the panel and everywhere else on StoreRadar.
Is it made by Shopify?
No. StoreRadar is an independent product and is not affiliated with Shopify. The extension reads public storefront data that StoreRadar has already collected; it does not connect to your Shopify admin and needs no Shopify login.
